The Racing Bicycle

Racing bike

The racing bicycle is a type of bicycle designed for road cycling, according to the rules established by the International Cycling Union, used since birth to carry out competitions in line or in stages over more or less long distances. As for other types of bicycles, racing bikes have evolved over time in their components, now becoming real jewels of technology: by virtue of this it is highly appreciated, both by competitive racers and by simple amateurs, for its characteristics of lightness, smoothness and speed.

The birth

The real inventor of the bicycle, however, is considered to be the German baron Karl von Drais, who in 1817 created the Laufmaschine, or the racing machine. In France, this rudimentary bicycle took the name of Draisienne, in honor of its inventor.
