The conditions

She had just been back to buy a new MTB, I don't know what they bought, but I know what they left behind .. you know when you say at the right time in the right place? this is the case with this Trek, the conditions were more than good considering the years, apart from the derailleur (not contemporary) and some innocent smears, it has been treated with care, perhaps recalling the high cost when new.

The Restoration

Nothing particularly relevant, as previously mentioned the conditions were more than excellent, it just needed to be completely disassembled for a thorough cleaning and greasing of the mechanical components, with the replacement of sheaths and cables, including some rusty bolts over time.

The result

As a result, in this case we are talking about a "preserved" in excellent condition considering that it is almost 20 years old, logically to do a work to perfection I always recommend complete disassembly, only in this way will you be able to have a complete picture of its conditions, even the most hidden ones, identifying the components (headset, free wheel, etc.) to be cleaned and greased or, if necessary, replaced.
